We were only 4 points down in the last quarter and we had the Weagles worried.
Oakley-Nicholls had the ball about 50 metres out and suddenly Joel went over to tell him something.
Then Oakley-Nicholls instead of having a shot for goal passed it to the forward pocket, ball came to ground and the Weagles rushed it out of defence.
Joel what did you say to Oakley-Nicholls and he then passed it instead of kicking for goal?
If you told him to pass it? :smash :smash
 
I thought the same thing. Bowden get out of his ear! He should of had a ping Hughes and Lids style - bet Bowden talked him into that lay up crap.
 
This is the order of finished regular senior players:

1. Gaspar
2. Richo
3. J Bowden
 
Cause I am a deaf lip reader employed by ASIO on a casual basis, I'm fairly well qualified to answer this. Joel said

I wish Joel didn't speak to him - but thought JON was never going to make it.

Joel would have been better running past and having a shot on his own on the run.
 
Probally knew he wouldnt make the distance so he did what i assume Joel told him to do and the most sensible thing to do was to kick 10-15 mtrs out from goal.
 
JON may not be the most polished kick - but he would have made that distance.... should have had a shot as that rebound broke us.
 
what i really want to know is what bowden said to kerr in the first quarter when he had him pinned to the ground

Yeah that was interesting. I said at the time that it was like the forces of good versus evil there. You had Bowden (works tirelessly for charity, is the president of the players union, all-round nice guy) giving Kerr (alleged drug user and distributor, several assault charges) a spray. Very interesting to watch...
