I just hope that the guys can sustain the momentum and give us a Winter to remember. One where they play out the whole period and then set themselves up for spring.

Cant remember too many wins during June, July, August in previous years so hopefully the next few months are more successful.

Hey DHN,

You might post us a list of the Tiges upcoming games in these months. Some forethought on how the boys might go in each one.

Here are our games for the rest of the season. I've given each game a mark out of ten corresponding to, in my opinion, our chances of winning that particular game.

Feel free to disagree of course. :)

The secret to tipping for the Tigers, over the last decade, has been:

1. Tip them when you think they'll lose.
2. Don't, when you think they've got a good chance.

;)

At this point, I've seen nothing that convinces me that 2006 is any different to previous years. The difference, if any, will come over the next 12-14 weeks.

If the season had 11 rounds the Tigers would play finals every year!
Until they can string a few wins in June/July/August, no one can state they have improved.
Some of there senior hacks have shown that they cant compete for a full 22 rounds, throughout
there mediocre careers.
This will be Wallaces big test or it will be Ground Hog Day, with another September full of misery and crime rates
rising!!!

Add to the title

Sep.... Sept...... Septem........

Nah can't say it.

Not just yet anyway. But after yesterday I sure want to. ;)

Rounds

10-13, possibly 2 from 4

14-17, probably 0-4

18-22, possibly 4 from 5, if all goes ok.

Could give us 11 wins, an exceptional result.

The Tiges haven't won a game in June since they beat Fremantle at Subiaco in 2001. This seems like the time to break that hoodoo too.

Phantom,

I would only add the following, when you think they have a good chance they often win, its when thier odds on favorites, thats when I get real nervous!!!

It may take a few years of consistent results to get that out of my system.

I wouldn't often say this, but in this case history = nothing. This current group has the chance to write their own history. Going into last season we'd lost 14 straight and basically forgotten how to win, and TW had to find out what he had/has list-wise. Thus, as he's explained, he had no choice but to get them up and running by Round 1 and further advanced in their preparation than almost every other side in the competition. Combine that with our draw (tougher towards the end of the season as opposed to this year), the fact that they were/are a young side and other factors (eg. Nathan Brown's injury), and in hindsight a fadeout was almost inevitable.

One of my favourite quotes from TW in his time at Richmond was going into the Brisbane game at the Gabba in Round 8 last year. Obviously the Club had been turned upside down the previous summer - we'd made that many changes it wasn't funny. Someone pointed out our atrocious recent record interstate going in (I think we'd lost 16 of our last 17 or something) and his response was something along the lines of "well we're really none from none".

if we make the finals, we should all start a petition to 'Sack Diggler' . :hihi

Darksider or brightlighter: we would all have to admit that there appears to be a hell of a lot more winable games in the rest of the seasons than we thought there was at the start of the year........ and if we break even over the next 6 games and anything could happen: Its going to be alot of fun to see how we go: the boys know they have nothing to lose: Its a golden time where they are writing their own history and there is no expectations on them: its the only year it will be like this for them (and us).

One thing that Richmond have this year that I haven't seen in previous years is that they are not replying on the same few players to win games. There's some depth there now. Remember that Gaspar, Chaffey and Schulz (no matter how maligned they have all been) are still available to come into the side if they are required, okay Schulz needs to do some more rehab and recovery, but you know what I mean.
