Just got back- Thoughts

I was at the game too.

If anyone thinks that Geelong fans are feral,they are way off the mark.
A quieter bunch of polite clappers there isn't.... they even make Melbourne fans look like a Hells Angels chapter.Quiet as a library is Kardinia.
We were 13-6 when it came to frees,and Lids should have been pinged for 2 decisions that were within scoring distance for Geelong.Nutshell = Umpiring didn't cost us.
A poor 1st quarter and last 10 mins of the 3rd did.
I was also amazed at Geelongs unwillingness to attack in the last even with a 4 goal lead!
When they tried to shut the game down,we came right back into it!
Smarter finishing and less blazing and hoping and we would have stolen a game we scarcely deserved to win.
Its a good thing we have Delidio and Bling for years to come,as without them we would be the slowest AFL side in the comp by streets.
 
Chumpaway was ok. He's not the best, but he's not the worst of our players either. I can live with him. For now.

As for Hartigan, yeah, he makes some mistakes, but there are far more positives as a second year player than there are negatives. Calls to axe are silly. If, after two more years he continues to make the same mistakes, then yeah, re-assess. A definite keeper for now though imo.
