PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

I thought we were pretty stiff in the end. It was a cracking day today (weather wise) but the game as most probably saw was pretty ordinary. Like many Richmond supporters we sitting at the end of the ground where the wind wasnt going. To be honest i was a bit confused at the tactics both teams employed against the wind. From where i was i didnt seem that strong, it blew directly to our cheer squad. I probably would have taken a more posative approach into the wind, i mean what did we have to lose?

Anyway, i thought that we were a bit stiff with a few umpiring decisions. the first goal of a game from a 50 mtr penalty was a disgrace! Joel bowden got monstered by money which resulted in a goal. A holding the ball decision against foley was pretty stiff in the third as well. Not to mention Geelong kicked an arsey goal in the first qtr. When the margin was a point i suppose we look at these little things more.

Hartigan is steadily improving.
Bowdo was very good.
*smile* had the better of his opponent all day. Just needs to play a bit tighter on occasion. Would love to see him become a CHB. It is what we really need.
Simmo was the better ruckman on the ground.
Gas was good.
Pettifer has improved.

the negative tactics against the wind. I can see what they were trying to do and nearly pulled it off. But thats just my opinion!
Cogs is spent. Have a well deserved rest.
Im not sure Moore is FF. Like has been said on here plenty of times.

Overall it hink we have impoved as many have said. There wasnt much in it today but we were better than in round one! On a final note the Richmond support today was tremendous from where i was. Kudos to the fans who were able to make the trip!
