I actually thought he deserved a lot more credit for getting the Blues to where they are, more so than Ratten should. He arrived at Carlton only to lose majority of draft picks for 2 years because of their past demeanors. He had no Judd, Murphy for one year and Gibbs was a jib in his first year. Rutten got them a priority pick and Judd landed in his lap.

Arguably, at least he left them in better shape than Terry will leave us. And he has one more premiership than Terry.
 
One thing is for sure - Pagan's long and direct style of play would suit the current list a lot more than the overpossession, cough it up style of play that Wallace has tried unsuccessfully to instill in the group.

Pagans style of move the ball fast and kick it long was completely different to the style of play that the RFC played under Frawley.

I cant remember too many Kangaroos players going backwards, chipping the ball sideways, running around the back looking for an easy possession enabling the opposing team to flood back into their forward line.
