Just read this on Bigfooty, I know its a little late but can anyone help me with this mystery player??

I can guarantee you...that RFC have been hiding 1 player for the best part of 12 months using a variety of techniques the player has not been listed in any phantom draft, the player has not been picked in any state squad, the young man wants to be a tiger and has been committed to it for 12 months, the player is a key forward. And Richmond will pick him with pick 8 in the national draft and the best part is theres nothing any other club can do about it...coz they dont know who it is lol and hes not going to draft camp!
 
Thats possibly the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
Why would Richmond waste number 8 on a low profile player, who obviously hasn't been doing anything great at any other level, or other clubs would have noticed him. If no other club has heard of him, why don't they use a pick in the 50's to get him?
Utter garbage.
 
I'm glad ppl think the same thing, reading a few pages in the same bloke predicted we would pick someone out of left field with pick 4, should've done my homework before discussing, can someone delete this thread?? I feel embarrassed..... :-\

Are you referring to Clinton Williams, an exciting talent, but I didn't think he was elligible this year

Yep, so he's been recruited for our Docklands games - he's perfectly suited to that venue!!! :rofl :rofl

Were you surprised to be picked up by Richmond at 8 Bill?
Yeah no not really, I knew if I worked hard and kept a low profile I would eventually get an opportunity. I am just happy that its with Richmond as I am a long time supporter, I was petrified I would go earlier and end up at Carl-Coll-Ess Scum

What do you think clinched it for you?
Richmonds WA talent scout Claw, saw me having a kick with my niece at 3/4 time in a WAFL game and said he would put a good work in for me with Mr Miller. I know GM has been a strong advocate of youth but Claw persuaded him my experience would provide team balance.

Who has played the biggest role in your development?
Well my mum obviously, she taught me the basic skills, but also my coaches. They all saw I was a late developer and played me off the bench, well on the bench really, for most of my career, I think thats why my body is still up to it.

What sort of pre-season are you aiming for?
Well my endurance is pretty good already, I've been around over forty years. I could do with a weight redistribution program. Working with speed would probably lift my game as well.

What onfield role have the coaching staff discussed with you?
Utility mainly, running behind Tiv and telling him he's hot, backing up Gas and telling him to handball, patting Richo on the bum and telling him to kick at the fat guy in the PRE T-shirt, all team stuff really.

What about your own contribution, you're not reknowned as an impact player are you earmarked as a tagger?
More of a slagger. Probably haven't got the leg speed to run with the young blokes, but I can still get close enough at a few of the stoppages to stick it up them a bit.

Well all the best Bill, with Delidio last year and James this year the RFC is really looking up.

I've heard the tiges have a safe house in the Eastern suburbs.

A massive enclosure with a running track, pool, and weights room. ::) ::)
