Has to play up the ground. Totally lost in the backline and doesn't have the disposal skills under pressure to play the position long-term. 10 disposals for the game, only 4 conttested possies. Just wasn't in it. Contributed to the backline that let 21 goals though last night.

Yes, everyone, it would be great to put him back in the middle, but in case you haven't noticed we are and have been really down on backmen. With Conca, Yarran, Grimes injured and Rance suspended, would you believe we needed someone tall, strong and tough to play down there.
Young guys like CEllis forced to play down there too but he struggles with the fierceness of the contest still being so young and light; at least KMac shirks nothing. OTOH, Cory is a better user of the ball coming out.
He has generally done very well. Thought not so good last night but great experience for him to play on top forwards like Gunston. Overall, it will make him a better player in the future when goes back into the midfield.

Fair comment, but it ain't working. We're losing our drive on the wings. I believe you keep those best for a position in their position and find secondry alternatives for other positions. Right now McIntosh is our best option for the wing imo, and this attempt to play him back is affecting his confidence.
Don't think he is naturally a defender, however his one who I think will benifit from some games there, doing ok back there and no doubt is trying to give us run out of the back half, I'd like to think he'll end up playing the majority of his footy through the middle but will be able to play across half back at times, don't mind the lad

I really like his attitude and the way he plays just lacks a bit of polish which has been classic RFC player traits for many years.
Think in time he will need to be upgraded in time but he clear best 22 now.
