Pretty sure Dimma had no choice but to try KMac, BEllis, CEllis, Mendoo, George n even Lennon down back early this year.btoz_01 said:Anyone remember the time he beat Judd 1 on 1 on the wing against Carlscum? KMac is a wing HF not a backman
As for playing a more attacking role not if Dimmer can help it

Concs had been training the role over pre season, injured.
Yazzy who we traded in to take a role back there a no show.
Batchelor, no form.
Chappy no form, cooked.
Grub injured.
Vlossy, form, reported, injury niggles.
*smile*, form, slow n off the pace seasons start.
Bachar injury.
Mentioning such injuries & no form on the board highlights Dimma's shortcomings as a coach. Tigers should have been ready to roar round one not round ten.
Things were an absolute nightmare down the back end for most of the first half of the season, most of the seasoned regular defenders had issues n we were just rotating anyone, we could, mostly kids, down back to try n fill the holes.
Wasn't a coaching issue, it was a train wreck.
Agree Barnzy. He needs to slot back into a wing.Barnzy said:Kmac's disposal is fine. Off a wing last year he was one of our best spotting up players inside 50 by foot. His size on a wing was awesome too. He's not a rebounding defender.

I'm looking for a breakthrough year as a mid.

Pretty sure he kicks for goal better on the run than set shots.Juffaricho said:As I have said for a couple of years now I would like to see him developed as an inside mid because his outside kicking is just not good enough for that run and carry role.
We are desperate for a big-bodied mid and is explosive pace could be a wild card in that role.
They tried him at HBF for a few games and his marking was OK but again his kicking can not be trusted.
Another option to consider is instead of playing 3 talls in the fwd line play a Griff, Riewoldt and a guy like K-Mac as a third tall (Goldsack style). He can hold his own in the air but run and pressure gets a massive boost from the 3rd tall position. Not sure if his set kicking for goal is better than his field kicking but would be interesting to see if he can create an interesting mismatch in a slightly shorter fwd line.
