With Ben Cousins coming to Richmond, the continued development of our young midfielders like Deledio, Cotchin, Tambling and Foley, and the hopeful return of Mark Coughlan, where is Kane Johnson's position in the side?
IMO Johnson did not play very well in 2007 or 2008, and most weeks I was thinking that he was only keeping his place in the team because of his captaincy. Now that Chris Newman has taken over, and Johnson is simply another year older, will he/should he be in the team each week? From a fans perspective, he seems to be deteriorating in the skills department and doesn't look good enough to keep up with the opposition's youngsters or our youngsters, but does he have some kind of in house leadership that is not spoken about?
I just hope that for next season he, like 21 other hopefuls, is not guaranteed a place in the team each week.
