Don't vote yet. I'll Put up the noms for the award after we've discussed some of the candidates.

Okay, first nomination-

Brett Burton- Adelaide v StKilda

The third time I noticed Brett Burton turning it up (10 minute mark, second quarter, that might have been the one where he let Frankie Peckett take an uncontested mark in the forward 50) I thought I'd make a note to post on this thread but boy, was I in for a surprise.

Burton went into warp drive from there and relentlessly ran away from loose football if there was an opponent anywhere near. Even if the a team mate dived into a pack to hanball or tap the ball to the lurking Burton he would not run towards the pill, always waiting for it to roll to him. Needless to say opponents had a picnic, sharking the ball in front of him.

I think it was one of the most insipid examples of football bludgery I have ever seen.

Now my most hated player.
