1 more year.Not as captain.

Other way around. He is apparently a good leader but he is not in our best 22 players. Let him be captain but don't let him play :spin
Commonly know in the trade as 'the Vandenberg'

I cant believe people dont understand what Kane Johnsons role is in the team, be obviously is a good leader amongst the playing group to be named as captain. You dont just name the oldest or most experienced player as a captain.

Also, he isnt an attacking midfielder, he takes on the run with role and plays it well most weeks.

I honestly cant believe this would even be a topic.

I thought he ended the season well. Maybe he finally managed to play through all those injuries :help. Not sure about him as captain, but apart from him, who is a really outstanding candidate? And don't say Richo :hihi. Keep.

Maybe Brown or Bowden. Fingers crossed that Kinghy or Lids develope into major leader types. Doing it by example rather than by mouth.

Lucky to survive next year. Finished ok but i guess we have to see how he goes early on next year.

Terry has shown he isnt afraid to retire players.

Captaincy maybe release him of this for 08?

Newman looks like our next captain and he needs another recovery year so keep the captain as captain for one more year then pass the jumper to the next leader.
Tough nut with nice pace, good disposal and a bit of flair, Captain Chris Newman #17

ive already delisted my nine front runners. unfortunately he has to stay one more yr. pace and kicking are terrible but as hard as it is to say there are plenty others in front of him. as i have been told ad nauseum over the yrs you can not delist 20 players in one go i reckon im being extremely optimistic with nine.

The biggest problem with your plan on list turnover is the Minimum Payments requirements (92%) under the Salary rules means you can't do it, else you end up with overpaid 3rd and 4th yearers that you then struggle to hold together under the Salary Cap as everyone else wants to grow into similar incomes. You have to have a mix of players that get the salary progressions right and even then a few "Claw-type Duds" to keep the money spread correctly.

As simplistic as the DreamTeam Competition is, as an example, its merits as a comparison certainly exist. If you haven't done one then you should for that part of the experience alone.
have you got kane in your dream team. ;) i wonder how many have.

Don't think so. We need someone like Foley as a captain, someone who will lead from the front.
