What do we do with Sarge at seasons end?

General, I think you'll find Tooheys has left off the delist option where a player is still contracted. Maybe he should have added a 'Gaspar' option for those players?

Keep him.

Sure, he has not fulfilled his potential. But that's all the more reason for other clubs to try to rip us off. I doubt we'll get good value in a trade as his stocks are at an all time low. I'm not writing him off yet.

Schulz will never fulfill his potential here at Richmond - his period for developing into an AFL footballer coincided with a time when the RFC had a limited development regime in place and this has scarred him - add to that the saga of drink driving and losing a club sponsor - and IMO his mind is too negative towards anything the RFC will do for him now . Should he move to another AFL club he may get a new lease on AFL life and kick on to reach his potential.

Strongly suggest we trade him for his and our own futures..................

50/50

We have 3 FFs on the list now - Schulz, Hughes & Riewoldt.

Schulz would seem the one most likely in a trade for Cameron Wood.

Interesting listening to Rawlings on the VFL commentary continually stating that Jay absolutely refuses to take a mark in his hands out in front of his body. Continually tries to take a chest mark and often drops it or is spoilt. Sounded really frustrated about it. If Jay is on the outer with the coaching staff perhaps he simply will not listen to what they tell him and will not do what he it told. If this is the case maybe that is why he keeps getting dropped from the seniors. If this is the case then that's really dumb from Schulz considering it may well spell the end of his career.

didnt sound like Rawlings was angry with Schulz, he did however say he has been in the system a long time (6 years) and things havent clicked yet.

No not angry, just frustrated.

I have defended Jay for a while but after seing him play today i would have to say we should find a trade for him. It would be the best for Jay and us.

I've been a big Jay supporter for a while - but he isnt going anywhere down there. Time to trade unfortunately.

I thought the finals may turn this attitude around, esp with the seniors now over.

Time to move on Schulz, sorry.

We're mostly all frustrated that it isn't working out for Schulz because the big hope was he'd fill the void when Richo retires.

Now it seems we don't have anyone, obvious anyway..

Tambling may yet be great but sadly Franklin really is the one that got away in terms of a replacement for our champion forward.

Doesn't seem to wanna work hard to get a kick. Unfortunately with Hall retiring, we'll probably keep him. If we can trade for a tall ... lets do it.

we can trade him now and get a pick, albeit a mediocre one

or keep him and let him go this time next year for nothing

trade

Lost patience Tubs ??

Not even 1 more year with a rocket and a promise of delisting ?

Jay. Well i said keep but only just.

He just seems so disinterested. Does he want to be here.?

Has so much upside and players of his ilk dont grow on trees, but he would be on his last chance.
One year at the most.

Terry needs to decide where he plays him and keep him alot of game time, many weeks (10) in the seniors next year and then decide.

But in saying this if he is unhappy and not committed and wants out then broker a deal/trade for him.

Up to you Jay

Trading Schulz would certainly give us some room to take on another 190-193cm player without unbalancing the list.

We already have Hughes & Riewoldt that can play up forward.

We really need one or two in this size group that are more adaptable & can provide an option down back.
