Re: Cotchin threads [Merged]

love to see tambling lay a tackle without breaking himself or perhaps put a decent shepherd on

Tambling was an inside midfielder in his junior days so there's at least hope that he can develop into this type of role.

playing nt footy, where theirs about 5 contested balls won for the whole day

we are still short an inside mid imo, need a better replacement for tuck

Did you watch the game against St Kilda? Were you at the ground? Tambling was a major reason we were back in the game at half time - his ability to play inside and outside, weaving through traffic, sparked the side in the second quarter.

yeh he played well, whats your point?

half the stkilda side were asleep and the rest had one eye on mad monday

i reckon tambling will be a good player but dont expect him to be getting a huge amount of footy, thats why i dont see him as an inside option

Re: Cotchin threads [Merged]

Wow, I'm sorry I ever stuck up for the boy - even if I do think he will ultimately be good inside and outside. All it has achieved is to drag the Cotchin discussion into another prolonged debate on Tambling. Apologies to all mods and readers.

Re: Cotchin threads [Merged]

your the one who turned it into a tambling whinge

all anyone said was that inside work wasnt tambling's strength so we need to look at other options to get better in that area

Re: Cotchin threads [Merged]

Tambling doesn't have the guts and determination to be an inside mid-fielder in the AFL.

Keep at all costs. Tambling will be an excellent midfielder for many years. His finish to 2007 was very good. He looks like a player that has realised with hard work on and off the field that he can match it with the best.

In a couple of years time, the general footy world will be debating which of Tambling and Franklin is better as they'll both be superstars.
