The bleeding hearts may disagree but his slow leg speed and poor disposal was a terrible mix for the modern game........and yes i'm glad that the RFC was one of the 16 clubs that could clearly see this.

As for Gas and Polly.....they don't even play in his position!
Another rash generalisation. What a load of crap. He gets associated with bad disposal because of his brother. His disposal was pretty reasonable.

Well said zips.

I was going to point it out in my post, but it has been stated over and over again.

As they say in the classics, the tribe has spoken.!!!!!!!!
Obviously 15 clubs decided what they thought of Fellaway by not picking him.
The only people that rate him are RFC people and their decision making over the last 2
decades has been extremely questionable!!!

If that's the case diggles I presume you're saying they were wrong to delist Andy? A questionable decision indeed . Here Hear. :rofl

I agree with you Rosy. They should have got rid of Gaspar instead. He's a much bigger dud. ;D

Andy not getting picked is a tick in the RFC favour. One of AK or Gas had to go. I think Gas being on the Vets list and AK never really taking the best forward (more of a third tall) made the choice. Unlucky but hard calls have to be made if we are to get better.

As I've stated many times, I am a huge fan of the Kellaway work ethic, and in particular, Andy's courage.

I now have an open mind about Polak and Kingsley, but it will be interesting to see whether with all their "talent", they have enough heart and team spirit to put the good of the team ahead of their own egos.

Andy Kellaway (the ultimate team man) was always worth a game in my Tiger team.

With the final retirement of the last Kellaway the club can finally move on and put that down as another piece in their tragic recent history. Next time we see him will be the worst team of the century reunion.

I have been watching a lot of the late night replays on Fox Sports from seasons 2005/6 and one thing that continues to stand out was the bravery and willingness of Andy to put his body on the line without hesitation.

I will miss that aspect of his game and hope that someone is able to step up and fill that hole!

I also wish Andy the best of luck in his future pursuits!  :clap

A truly loyal servant of the RFC.

Quite right. Though I think Kingsley is a suitable replacement for all the good qualities that AK brought to the club.

Rosy would you please put a block on this thread and hopefully the name "Kellaway"
is quickly forgotton just as another sad description of blantant mediocrity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pretty much like the words Lounder, Frawley, Rombotis and Dud!!!!!!!!!!!

Laff you're still welcome to send your annual Christmas card to me, I understand it gives you great pleasure, but I hope you're not expecting one in return after that gutless and cowardly attack on my favourite Tigers.

Haaa Haaa Haaa Haaa Haaa.............i guess it is true that our biases tend to blind ourselves from reality.  AK was only "reasonable" when delivering the ball to the loose man in defence when under no pressure.  He is only borderline even with this (e.g. i still remember when he went backwards to deliver the ball under no pressure in the chess game against Adelaide earlier this yr.....the ball went over the head of a team mate allowing T. Edwards to swoop and score a goal).

As brave and courageous as they came.....he could never ever pin point passes to team mates when under pressure and that is what is required from a hbf these days (as well as the ability to run like the wind)!
