Kelvin Moore threads [Merged]

Look I don't think Kel is anything more then a fringe player, I look and laugh when people talk about about a 6'4 running machine.

Two names spring to mind, Mark Bolton and Aaron Henneman.  That is who Kel reminds me of.

Geez I'm no real fan of Kel Moore just at the minute but that is one of the lowest insults I've ever seen on PRE, especially the AH reference.

Will be an interesting trade period.Who do we keep? gas? hall?moore? This is why wallace is trying the kid out to see what he's got. Only guessing but Moore's career may just depend on the next 6-7 weeks, and good luck to the lad?
I think you're pretty much on the money there and Kel is not the only bloke playing for his career at the end of this season.

Kelvin Moore has a near jinx record of 16 games for the Tigers for just one win, over the last three seasons
Should he be played this week when its such and important game for the club.

Now 17 for one win

But I think he is deserving of a game on his form

It's no ta insult it's just an example of two guys who lasted too long on the list becuase they were 6'4 could run and had a little bit of potential but everyone expected them to be more then the ever were. I don't subscribe to the theory that becuase our backline has limited options we should keep someone on the list who doesn't warrant it. That is half the reason we got into the mess we are in.

Considering the conditions & slopiness of the game,I thought Kel went alright!

Hence he has til the end of the year to Warrant a spot on the list. Thus far he,s doing everything right.

If Wallet and Miller were superstitious, no.

Since they are not, yes.

Yeah maybe Antman, maybe.

But we have held on to average players in the past for way to long. Just reckon that we have to be a bit more ruthless in terms of list management.  Name one player we have let go that has come back to bite us on the bum. Don't reckon there is.

Lets judge players on their performance, not on who we delisted in the past or duds at other clubs who have been going round for years and years.

As I said, we are not strong in the back line so we will need tall strong bodies down there for a few years it takes us to groom new tall back men.

Kelvin will be there next year.

OK I will never say anything that is not 100% positive about everyone at our football club who has helped us into this fabulously successful era we are currently living through.

The absolute blindness of support on PRE is getting out of control. You cannot even think unsavoury thoughts about the Yellow and black boys through of public prosecution and being stoned.

I am sure all the boys are tyring there guts out and want to win every week. I never doubt that. But we are chronic underachievers who have the shocking habit of over paying, over rating and holding on to guys for too long. And I am not talking about Kel Moore, seems like quality kid, got some really good qualities about him but long term he is not the answer, injuries or what ever have held him back. I understand that. Nothing would make me happier then to have Kel turn into the next Chad Cornes but I am not willing to sit around and let play 90 games before we decide he is not up to it. It's not personal, it's business. But if you are happy with out current list and want to keep all these maybe, ify, types don't complain about results, sit there and smile, clap your hands and think we are only a smidge away from getting to the top echelon. We are on the right track no doubt but hard tough choices need to be made.

Give Kel another 5 years, give Krak another 5, give Hall a %200 pay rise, give Staff another ten years. Just don't think bad thoughts.

I didn't realise you worked in our football department Scoop. Congratulations. Though I reckon Staff only deserves another 5 years, not 10.

I have never read a bigger load of bollocks. All I said was judge Moore on his performance, don't compare him to duds at other clubs unless you can make a strong case. Criticise him on his performance - fair and constructive criticism is fine.

Nah 10 years, Staff'll come good eventually. Loads of potential.

After seeing how Krak was defended after five years of so-so below average football I am not willing to tolerate that from any other player on the list. I just think after three years of so-so below average nothing football Kel showed be moved on, unless he does something dramatic over the next six weeks.

Hanging on to players for too long has cost us big time. With such a great batch of kids coming from this year from the TAC and around the country I just think that if there is a fifty-fifty player that you are thinking about keeping on the list for longer then two seasons, they should go otherwise you end up with Mark Bolton.

I actually agree with you Scoop. Not convinced on Kel at all.
Don't think he's going to get much better either unfortunately.
You have to ask yourself how much upside you think this player has.

Still I'd give him another week or two to see if he's got anymore tricks in his bag but like a few others he's skating on very thin ice re '07.

Don't quote me then spout all that crap about only thinking happy thoughts and the rest of it because I never made a comment along those lines.

How long does it take to develop a tall?

Have no fear, Miller and Wallace will delist players who aren't going to make it. However, if they see we are short down back then they may well hang onto a player like Moore, or Hall, or Gaspar while they develop younger players.

If you think that makes me a think happy person, you are dead wrong. It just makes me a realist.

Exactly ant....id rather see them get rid of Gas and hall and keep Kel...but who am i to say. Kelvin Moore is a ripper bloke and as a mate i hope he makes it cause i know he works really really hard to create chances for himself...i know terry is a fan bt if he cant produce who knows what will happen at the end of the year...still im not sure terry will get rid of backmen in our situation just yet...

GO KEL!!
