kelvin moore?

i for have been scathing at the club for retaining players on the list to long.in km case someone i have defended and think has potential will have to be delisted if he does not show marked improvement this yr.
because of the route moore has travelled the rookie draft i believe just a little more patience is required.in 2004 i thought he showed a fair bit playing as a backman and this yr wnt backwards for a number of reasons.one of those reasons is hes a backman its a bit like asking gaspar or kellaway to play forward most of the time they would be like ducks out of water.the other reason is injury a bad facial injury early in the season was the start of his problems. hesw played just 12 or 15 games odd so lets hope he can step up and double that tally next yr. also lets hope he spends most of the summer in the weights room.

Absolutely. He needs 10 games or so in defence so we can find out if he can play. I'm hoping Kellaway steps back into the role that Graham played, starting on the bench, pinch-hitting on forwards who are causing problems and if the defence holds up, short bursts up forward to cause a few match up problems. Moore should be given an opportunity to play as the third tall down back. Either he takes it or we know he won't make it.

2006 shapes as a big yr for Moore, Jackson, Roach, Raines and Foley. It may already be too late for Gus!

I personally think Thursfield has overtaken Moore.

personally thursfield is the one who should be played as the 3rd tall option up forward.

sometimes your posts claw, not sure whether your taking the *smile* out of everyone just to em wind up, cos it does surprise me u rate kelvin moore in front of shultz. i suppose 2006 will be important 4 both players. i think 2006 mite be a very important time 4 a few of the fringe boys. maybe thats y wallace has kept a few of the so called duds as a bit of insurance.

Interesting perspective Claw, particularly when he's shown so much promise in defence.

Worth a try if for nothing else than his education and development.

If Thirsty could develop into an O'Keefe type, who is effective at both ends of the ground, I'd be ecstatic.
Wil takes a good grab and might well be worth a shot in the forward line. A few games up front at Coburg early next season would be a better scenario than throwing him to the wolves in the seniors.
10 pts for thinking outside the square.

It's hard to know what to think of KM. I can see why the Tigers picked him and kept him. He's the prototype footballer of this century..tall (190cm) and reasonably fast and mobile, acceptable skills. He's in the same boat as Thursfield and Jackson. I'm not sure if we can retain all 3 of them. I've said before they are, and will, cut each others throat for game time.

duds are not insurance they are chains around our necks weighing us down. as for moore and schulz well they are chalk and cheese.moore has had very little opportunity where as schulz has been given every opportunity to grab a regular senior berth.they have been in the system the same amount of time and in that time with fewer opportunities moore has shown more.

i'm a betting man. think i would back shultz to be the better player by the end of 06,but hey i hope they both turn out very good long term prospects.

Schulz had very few opportunities in 06 Claw, despite fairly consistent efforts at Coburg. Don't have the figures in front of me but I reckon Schulz was a long way ahead of Moore at season's end.
