Kevin Sheedy

Sheeds....3 times premiership player...
3 times best and fairest....if you knew the goings on in the club post 1980 you wouldnt have wanted to know about coaching the club either........ :-X

Full votes to Sheeds - great for football and a great guy too. Anyone could go up to him in the street and say g'day and he'd return it without a thought.

Sheeds is a scholar and a gentleman. He won't ever coach Richmond but he will always have a place in Richmond's history.

why would anyone in their right mind want to leave a professional well run footy club and go join a rabble that lacks integrity.

So how come you support richmond then? You invest all this energy into something that you degrade and feel contemptuous toward? Why not support essendon, you like them.

Exactly, and when he came up with the idea for the ANZAC day clash it wasn't with the Tiges it was with Scumwood.

Because Bruce Ruxton was RSL president and barracked for Collingwood

nero has got you there caw. You are creating your own misery and bitterness by persisting with the Tiges. Easier for you to move on, find another club, than dwell in the sorrows and deep unhappiness Richmond seems to cause you.

On Sheeds, he is a true tiger merely from his contributions as a player. He is welcome back at tigerland any time. You cannot blame him for taking opportunities elsewhere when similar were not available at Richmond. You certainly cannot blame Sheedy for our poor performances since 1980.

Sheedy has not forgotten where he came from and who gave him the chance to pursue a career in football. He still attends most Richmond functions, eg Team of the Century, Hall of Fame and Haffey Club. A little bloke with the initials KB should take a leaf out of Sheedys book.

Tiger Sheeds got the Essendumb Bombouts thinking like tigers and winning premierships.

Hope he comes home real soon. :)

Sheeds will not come back while Miller is footy manager...

I love sheeds, Had his number on me back as a kid :)

But, Parkin going to Hawthorn was a bad mistake and Sheeds coming to the tigers is also a bad mistake.

Sheeds will do a "Barrassi" in his twilight years. Simply representing football and showing his well respected bonce at club functions for either club when respectfully called upon. He's earnt his respect at both clubs and it would be pretty shallow to deny him this....I would love to go up to him at a RFC function in years to come and simply talk footy.

he has never said a bad word about the club, but quite the opposite.

He attends all functions when he is available.

RFC groomed him for the coaching role to take over from Jewel, but Essendon swooped 1st.

In my book he is always welcomed. I don't want him back as a coach as the oppotunity was there in 1995 which nearly happened and now its no longer an option. Maybe in another capacity I would say yes as he has vast knowledge that is invaluable.

"Well respected bonce"!! What the?? :hihi :hihi

BTW got a lot of time for Sheeds.

I reckon he'll come back to the Tiges in some capacity once he leaves the Bummers.

I for one will welcome him back with open arms.
