Terry's game plan is very good if we had a side that could execute it. We cannot hit a target if our lives depended on it either by foot or hand. The HOSPITAL HANDBALLS are pathetic. KICK THE @#@#@# THING for CHRIST'S sake. How frustrating is this.

There is no point trying to implement a game plan when the players aren't up to it. A good coach would recognize this and modify the game plan accordingly.

If pretty sure there is no such thing, The pack of dud's that we have got running around haven't got a clue.

I hate it when i see more handballs than kicks on a teams stats. But Geelong had 30 odd more handballs, but they can use it so so much better.

They use it so much better, because they RUN and receive....whereas our players STAND and receive, leading to the old 'hospital handball', turnover, and opposition goal.

That is the big difference.

Secondly, the first option of our players when they take a mark, is to turn back and look for a bckwards handpass.
It is so common and predicatable, that the opposition just sit back and wait for that to happen and tackle the player as soon as he receices the handpass.

To be honest, I don't have any stats, but we have to be the most 'backwards going' team in the AFL.

When Wallace said on his ridiculous "Tuesdays with Terry" press-conference (the press conference you have when you don't need a press-conference!), that "Even when you look to be going backwards at a million miles an hour , you can actually be marching forwards"...I think he must have be talking about our gameplan.... :hihi

Sorry Terry, it ain't working!

^^New faces are being brought in almost every week. Our side is not settled yet. You will find next year with the side being more settled, the likes of Delidio, Tambling etc, will put in more consistant performances.

Stray,

While the likes of Riewoldt, Connors, King, and Edwards given gametime int he second-hlaf of the season is a good start, I find it frutsrating that usually its in place of another youngster.
White, Schulz, JON, Meyer, Jackson, ect should play the rest of the season, regardless of form now.
They need as much time together under REAL GAME conditions, and then have a good pre-season TOGETHER, for them to start gelling on the paddock next season.
Recycling and regurgitating the likes of Tiva, Hyde, Krak, etc and wasting a space for them isn't helping the situation for 2008.

geez Liverpool one more week and I might just, repeat just, have you supporting the idea of sheedy :fing32

If Wallace said 2011 is when the Tigers will fire.....well, you'll be waiting until 3011 for me to support Sheedy at Richmond. :hihi

Hey Livers, you forgot Bowden at the end there, how many *smile*' times does he completely *smile* any positive move forward with poor disposal or poor decision making, king of the hospital handpass that *smile*' clown is, I watched the game with Claw and he was barracking for Geelong, saying something about losing every game by over 39 points!

They're afraid to kick, because they can't. 9 times out of 10 it ends up in the hands of the opposition. On the rare occasion that a Richmond player does happen to find a team mate by foot I am convinced it's an accident. Even Shane Edwards has caught the turnover disease.

It was pretty windy down there so both sides were probably playing to instructions.

Its not the kick handball thats the issue, it the dicky little handball to a player under just as much pressure as the giver that is the problem. We do it time and time again when the pressure is on rather than kick it long or at least take a rist and handball it long. No we take the easy option and handball 1 metre to a player who has now where to go or is under as much pressure at the person giving off. We must have did it 100 times tongiht whist Geelong always found an option even in close.

Thompson out coached Wallace today, in one area in particular. They hanballed most the time, they played to the conditions. You cant kick and hope, a handball releases a player and creates play...when extecuted correctly. Rule number one, when you give off a kick, you follow it up. What do our players do when they hanball? They give it off and stay flat footed, take someone out, run off for a one two, do something.

Also, Wallace wanted to play very defensive and they werent stupid, they saw it comming and that gave them extra reason to hold onto the ball and run. Instead of just kicking it and bombing it in. They played on better and we tried so many things then after half time, it looked as if we attempted to attack a bit more, but had no runners in on goal. We kicked our goals from set shots, where as they ran in and played the conditions well.

I'm getting really sick of Tuck's dinky over the back of the head flopsy handpasses. He'd be better off just punching the thing.

Oh how we miss Cogs....... :'(

agreed. KICK!!! not handball.

get out to grass roots clubs and learn if you must!

Skills coaches at richmond need a kick up the butt.

They haven't a clue because there is no leadership! The senior players in the squad are letting down the kids and always revert to the crap they displayed under the previous losing mentality.

Axe the duds and let the kids run free and learn.

THIS IS SO TRUE, HOW MANY TIMES DO WE GET CAUGHT WITH THE BALL THEN TRY TO GIVE OF THE MIRICLE HANDBALL ,USUALLY TO A PLAYER WHO HAS A CLOSE CHECKING OPPONENT!!!!!
