As a Kingsley backer, have to admit in hindsight it wasn't a good decision to pick him up. A few things went against him - injured in the pre-season, and we lost games early and went with a younger line-up.

Kingsley's selection was ordained. Wallace and Gromit were fresh from watching half the season stuffed because they had no-one to replace Richo while he had a broken hand. Someone to literally hold the ball in the forward line. Lets face it Cleever and Jack really have shown that they aren't ready yet to hold down CHF, so I can sympathise with the decision - he was the best ready made forward available.

I really feel for Kingsley in that injury ripped the guts out of his attempt to prolong his career. Still, *smile* happens, ask Buckley.
Given that some of our youngsters are getting a little older the need to get in players like Graham and Kingsley are diminishing.

Still - we don't have enough KPP kicking goals - we have to find more from somewhere. So players like Schulz and Hughes will have to stand up sometime or move over for someone else.

The Kingsley decision was easily avoidable

Believe we would've if he could have been Rookied, but we couldn't get a reprieve on the age limitation - at time Pods, and unproven quantity at AFL level, or Kent, a somewhat proven commodity at AFL level, albeit with weaknesses, I understand their choice. Still think, like others, that there were enough other options out their.............
