Lack of crowd noise / atmosphere?

Last night the TV lack of crowd noise was very noticeable.

Obviously I assumed it was because of our insipid effort - even the Blues fans were bored?

But - tonight watching the Cats/Hawks game it's really noticeable.

Aside from a few late goals by the Hawks, it appears as if the crowds are particularly subdued,

or

the broadcasters have turned the crowd noise down so we can listen to the commentators dribble on - and on - and on - an on.........

either that or they have done it so we can hear the white maggots make bad decision after bad decision

either way - I'm convinced the crowd noise/atmosphere has been turned down

.............. and it's detracting from the spectacle

thoughts?

I was there Thursday nite, not alot to cheer about from half time, but I still can't give the opposition the satisfaction of leaving early, ALWAYS stay to the end. Nothing worse than copping a hiding from this scum...to hear the Carlton chant and that arrogant theme song......makes me crook in the guts.

I also thought Scott McClaren must have a big cat phobia...hates the Tiges

For those watching TV - has anyone else noticed that the crowd noise has been turned down? ::)

I was sitting underneath a speaker and could only hear the damned noise coming from it right up until the bounce, it was really disappointing and I couldn't hear the crowd AT ALL, it really ruined the start of my season and then it just went down hill from there after about 5 mins of the first quarter.

I left during the three quarter time break, stuff sticking around in the car park for an hour and getting home at 12 o'clock and then getting up at 6 for work... stuff that.

Sir is right. I have noticed that with a lot of the Channel 10 games, esp on the HD Channel.

Picture looks great but they must use inferior sound technology.

The atmostphere was great at the MCG yesterday.................for about the first 15 mins!!

The crowd at tonight's game were very loud. I was actually surprised at how loud and boisterous Dawk supporters are. It must be that they turn down the crowd noise on the t.v. to ensure that you can hear the sultry sounds of Anthony Hudson.
