I would hope TW & GM sound out Ron Joseph in the coming weeks.
It sounds like Rons ready to wheel and deal as his pony's from North and Carlton and at odds with there respective clubs.
One I would be interested in is Matthew Lappin. Very honest tryer who's not only a leading contributor when they win, but also always a valiant contributor when they lose.Or get thrashed. To me that shows tremendous character to compliment his couragous style of play.Not forgeting his good injury record he is a player who could certainly add to our list

Yep pass. I like them both as players, but the reason they are being moved on is because they're asking too much. Simple.

If what Grant is asking ($600Kpa) is true, its ludicrous. even $400 is way too much for where he's at. I'd offer them $250-300 2 years take it or leave it. Even then I'd be glad if they said leave it.

Skinny Lappin is 29 Years old. A good player, but we should not be drafting anyone who won't be at their prime in 2007-2008 (when we'll be realistically aiming for the flag).

22 year-olds, sure. 24 year olds - only if they're excellent. Anything older, then they'd better only cost as a high draft pick, ala Graham.

We recruited Leon Cameron at the same age & he gave us 2 good years
but the pick 30 odd we gave up could have been a 10 year player.
We should only pick up players who are under 25 as we need to look
long term & not go for a short term fix.
