I personally think that people should be forgiven for not realising that the footy season has started, just this once.

I'm not convinced.

What if by some miracle GWS had got up? The people that had picked Sydney would not be too happy about new entrants being allowed in after the first game. They had taken a risk, albeit small, that they could get knocked out in Round 1. Entrants coming in after that game have one less game to risk.

What if the first game was North vs Essendon or Hawks vs Pies? I know we're not playing for sheep stations, but how flexible do you want me to make the rules be?

Happy to see people's thoughts.

I know we arent playing for sheep stations, but it is a cattle station isnt it?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the RFC has donated a few cattle stations to PRE to be offered for our competitions. Rosy can confirm.
