Oh East Melbourne!
Just watched 'Last time they met' on Fox and thought i would highlight a few points from last years match between the tiges and lions....

* Knoble was terrific in the ruck and was able to free up simmo up forward ...who also played well
* Tuck ran with Black, Cogs with Voss, Tiv with Aker, Chaffey with Lappin
* Richo played deep with Michael on him and SImmo at CHF with Lepper.
* At the other end it was Graham v Brown, Gas v Bradshaw
*Chaffey, Campbell and Graham were all good
* Browny was in a class of his own

Looking to Sat:

*Looking at the midfield again i would say it will probably pan out the same .... Chaffey and Lappin cancel eachother out which is effective for us!
* After Johno did a good run with role on judd, perhaps he will go to Power.
* Id like to see either patto or knobes come in to free up simmo to the forward line again. They had real trouble matching him up and would find it more difficult without the Orange Roughie.
* I expect to see Lids and Bling play on ball more - possibly with Notting and Sherman/Adcock
* Gas and Bradshaw cancel out eachother.
* Brown is the worry - i expect rayzor to have first crack with maybe Simmo dropping back and Joel Bowden to push in front. DOnt be suprised if Patty B ends up down there.
* If Browny plays i think copeland will go to him if not i think copeland will go to lids.

My team....

Ins: Foley - was only dropped due to quick Subi and eagle midfield - deserves to take humms place
Krak - just have a feeling he will play if Brown doesnt
Patto/knobel - must get another ruckman in to help simmo and release him up forward
Hughes/McGuane - i think there could be a suprise inclusion...maybe out of these two.....maybe Rodan?

Outs: Gas, Roach, Browny, Humm

B: Hartigan     Kellaway   Newman
HB:Raines         Hall          Bowden
C:Hyde             Tuck         Tivendale
HF:Deledio        Richo       Pettifer
F:Tamblign      Bowden     Jackson
R:Simmo, Cogs, Johnson
I:Foley, Patto/knobel, *suprise inc*, Krak/Brown

I wanna hear your thoughts on your team and who you think will run with who and who will come in and out of the side!

8ball xoxo

Thanks for the hugs and kisses 8 ball

I see
in Foley Pattison Hughes
out Roach *smile* Humm

I like
Hyde on Akeramanis swapping with Raines/Newman if Aker goes deep in fwd line, Hyde play on Aker if is on wing
Tuck beat Voss last year, play him there again if not Johnson
Give Johnson as no 1 tagger maybe and put him on Power as he is the Brissy midfielder that may play most on ball
Coughlan on Black, same pace and both are down hopefully back Cogs in to beat him.

If Brown deep in fwd line Hall if Brown between 50 and centre play Joel Bowden on him.
Other backline options depends who is there
would not like to isolate Kellaway at fb on Merrett/Charman or Clark so maybe play him on Brennan. Would prefer to see Hall deep in backline.
If Brisbane play Brown and Charman/Clark deep, Chuba and Hall play down back and Joel on Brennan.
Support to come from maybe Jackson and McGuane if selected
Newman or Raines if not minding Aker to look after McGrath (Raines) Sherman (Newman)

Copeland I would expect on Brown and Risichetelli on Delidio

I would like to see Richo, Hughes, Jackson, P.Bowden and Delidio alternating out of the square to try and create a match up in balance with one or two probaly Patrick or Jacko at times work up towards half back.
Another thought is if Simmo is resting to rest at times in the pocket

Well i wasnt far off...got krakouer , pattison and rodan as a suprise...missed on foley.

Seeing as we turned the Dud Lynch into a superstar last week I wonder who from the opposition will take us apart on Saturday?

Seeing as Aker's been down on form the last few weeks you can almost guarantee he's going to have a blinder this week. :spin

So eyeball you're behind the 'pathetic' selection for this week? :rotfl

Hahahahaha........ we will see GPB when we bring home the goods on sat night?!?!?!  ;)

On a serious note, it was a great analysis you supplied on the game, and you nearly nailed the team for the week, but I guess you can include the 'surprise inclusion' for Rodan - well done.

Let me ask you, if you had spent close to $1M on a race horse and for the last 5 years this horse never came first and hardly ran a place, would it be viable to keep it? You would be that frustrated, you'll send it to the knackery and count your losses - that's what Krakouer is! ;D

:rofl Yes but GPB if thats the only race horse you've got (krak) you will run with it in the hope it may scrape a placing(kick some goals)....until you can breed something better (cleve hughes ;D ) you leave no option but to stick with a 3 legged donkey (current Krakouer)!

The only difference being at least a racehorse tries it's guts out!!!

Disgracefl post, what evidence do you ahve that Krakouer doesnt try his guts out. His forward pressure is ridiculously good, I consider that trying. Sure he may not find the ball as often as you may like butto say he doesnt try. Pathetic. Where do you come up with that stuff?

Unless it was a gelding I'd be keeping it for breeding at that price GPB...and Krak's going along quite alright in that respect...get him to 100 games and we may well have a batch of Krakouer junior father/son picks for years...Grandpa Jim teaching 'em as soon as they can walk...think long term mate... ;)

Bling's showing good potential as a sire as well...'bout time Lids got his act together...get Tucky a haircut...:hihi

Krakour does look slow and everyone seems to have lost faith ,but I was at Subi last week and Cogs wasn't the fastest man on the ground by along way.
Look through our line up and we have some real plodders.  :-\
