PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Pretty controversial title for a thread but it's something that definately needs drawing attention to further.

Wallace may be building a fast team, a skilful team & a young team which is nice but it's not all roses at Tigerland.

There are some aspects of this TW coached team that are very disconcerting and need to be thrown into the spotlight further.
That being our pathetic 1%s & tackling efforts.

Despite being 9th on the ladder we are still last at this stage of the season in each of these KPI's and it's a worrying trend IMO.

There are clearly too many lazy footballers in this squad who simply don't work hard enough when we don't have the football nor do the team based things when we do.

It's all very well to look dashing when your hands are on the football but it's the hard, gritty, unglamourous stuff that makes a truly successful football team.
How hard you work when you don't have possession is crucial.
Premiership teams are renowned for doing well in these KPI's.

There are players in this team who simply aren't putting in the extra yard.
We will not go anywhere next year or in 5 years time until Terry and his offsiders rectify these problems.
So far there's not much sign of that although some players recently injected into the side are going well in these areas.

This offseason TW had better take them to bootcamp on this issues and ruffle a few hairdos because it's a disease that spreads. We won't progress further until we work much harder in these fundamental areas.

There are some culprits(with very high profiles) who simply aren't doing the team things and they need to be outed.

So there you are. As you look down the list some names are surprising & some aren't.

These lazy Tigers need to be accountable not just when they've got the ball in their possession.

Toughen them up Terry.
