PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

I did a bit of a search but couldn't find a thread on this. Who is in our leadership group this year?

Kane is Captain, Newmo and Nathan VCs. Pettifer is in there. I think Joel still is. Who else?

I ask because GM said on the news that the Leadership group would be meeting to discuss futher penalties for Kane. They'd have to be fairly strong characters to have much of a say, especially when the head of the leadership group chose his own penalty**. That seemed to be the tail wagging the dog to me. Apparently the drinking/going out rules were made as a group so it will be interesting to know what the group decide about them being transgressed, and no it's not only about a piddle in public. I wonder if Kane would be privy to the leadership group discussion or just their decision?

To me the leadership group and their handling of an issue when put to the test is like the bonding boot camp earlier in the year. They're all in the trenches together and the more they are involved in the hard decisions the better our club will be in the long run.

**Does Kane's self imposed 1 week suspension mean he'll play for Coburg or he'll have a holiday? I ask because I remember the 3 ring circus when Richo was dropped for disclipinary reasons, poor body language/spitting the dummy or whatever, we had a press conference to announce he was demoted to Coburg for the week. Thank goodness Frawley those days are gone, there's no need for public announcements, but I wonder if that's the kind of thing the leadership group would have any say in?
