Guys and girls, this is an issue that has been concerning me for some time. I think all the talk of the GC chasing Luke Hodge, Selwood and Roughead is misplaced. Not sure any of the top liners at Geelong or Hawthorn would leave based on potential success and also the money spinner of being a multiple premiership hero.
But if you were Deledio or Cotchin, the story changes straight away.
What loyalty could we expect from either of these players? The club has been a shambles since they arrived, and as supporters we have hardly been an advertisement for loyalty.
We are all worried about the future right now - but this 30 year nightmare could be about to turn nasty. The small handful of talented players on our list could be about to become targets of the new franchise.
