Well obviously we all love Lids around here but I was listening to SEN just before and some caller asked who was the most likely of the leagues junior brigade to really stamp his authority on the competition this coming season. Well guess who was the unanimous choice? Scary how you don't even have to think about it right. Like is there anything the kid does not win?
But it got me thinking... is Lids really elite yet? Or is he more or less showing very good signs that he is destined to be? For instance, would Sheahan rate him in his top 50 yet? I think he might be tempted to but not sure he'd have the nerve to do it.
No doubt Lids was a valuable player last year. And I think he brings that something special to the side as well. Same as when Richo started. You just know you're in for a treat getting to watch this kids career develop and blossom as the years go on. But I still think this will be another learning year for him before he really starts to dominate in 2007. What do the rest of you think???
