I've been impressed with Lids the past three weeks, but I wonder if this is a long term solution as to where we play him.

Could he be the type of player post Richo that can get us 50+ goals in a year, allowing Schulz and Hughes etc to be complimentary players? IF this is a permanent, long term plan, what does this do for our restructure, given that he was going to be our "Judd-like" midfielder?

It sounded like his run was one of the things that kept us going. His educations is continuing and still think his role is that of a running player...he will be a good midfielder in time....IMHO...he is getting better each week, but the beauty is he adds another string to our bow as a goal kicking midfielder....

he isnt strong enough in the marking contests though atm, rips it apart on the lead but when in a contest he struggles

dominated in the middle in the 2nd half and showed why he is all class

good game

His run around the ground and his ball use enables us to hurt other sides, if he can go forward and kick a couple or provide a contest it helps out the forward line immeasurably.

Wallace said today they were focused on turning him into the next Judd, but maybe the next Hird is just as good :)

Nice to see another good game by Lids, congrats mate :clap

Maybe tonight he wasn't but I've seen him take some strong contested marks this year, sometimes he looks to have a vice like grip on the ball. Its looked to me this year that this is the feature of his game that will set him apart.
