Didn't realise you weren't with me on most Augutus Gloop ;)

Grat news get iit done before too many of these beltings make him just wait and see what is on the market.

He must be crazy but let's hope it's true.

As far as Richie re-signing is concern, let's wait till he gets a kick first.

BRILLIANT! I was half expecting a headline at the end of 2006, 'Young Tiger Superstar decides to nominate for the National Draft'. Best news I've heard all week.

Just on seven and nine new that lids is to sign this week along with Newman.
Why is it that after a big loss we alway seem to have a player sign or signed like Tom a few years ago.

Apart from Lids i would be leaving contracts to years end, no wonder we cant get rid of duds like tivendale and the like when we sign them early in the season.
Signing players up at the start of the season creates comfort knowing that even if they have sub par seasons they will be back next year.

Apart from kids like Lids, the rest should be left to years end forcing them to perform , and when they dont they are much easier to offload or delist.

FANTASTIC NEWS!!!  :clap :clap

Good on Lidsy for having faith enough in our club to sign. Ditto Newman.

Nothing wrong with drumming up membership after the Friday disaster with a bit of good news.
Noticed on the RFC website Membership is:
As at 2/03/06:
Ticketed: 25,107
Non-ticketed: 6,102

Most of the 1000 would have been purchased at the gate last Friday. I wouldn't be expecting such a huge amount next week.

I hear that Miller has actually signed Ron De Iulio (ex-Carlton player) and not Brett Deledio. Apparently he got the names confused.

Welcome aboard Ronnie !

Whilst the timing is typically Richmond, i.e. a positive news story after a disgraceful loss, I don't care in the slightest as Lids is the best prospect I can ever remember seeing at the club. Congratulations to Lids for signing and whoever at the club organised the deal, whatever it costs us.

Sorry Redders, it may well be his Dad, Wayne Deledio, 1 Game with Carlton in the late 70's Richmond is looking to sign, kind of like a reverse Father-Son thing.

Damn it if that's the case then. I was looking forward to commentators having to spit out De Iulio and Deledio in the one sentence.

On a serious note, great news if this is the case. Shows the kid not only has talent etc. but a high level of commitment and loyalty as well.

Yes, it show he has a bit of character.

Just what the club needs, as well as talent and guts, to drag them out of the mire of the last 25 years.
