I'd trade him, he's one of the few with trade value. We need more kids.

Has had two years to cement a place as the greatest player of all time and has consistently failed to deliver. We should replace this geriatric hack with some genuine talent in the 9 to 14yo bracket.

We need a greater emphasis on youth.

I'm available! ;D

Brett Deledio............... speaks for himself as far as i am concerned.

Whilst many on this site have expressed concern bout his impact this year i for one have been greatly impressed as i have watched the boy in his 2nd year learn to handle, put up and shake off at times some very very tight tags, which for me shows true class, ability and competritive midset.
Love the kid and have liked his season and output, which whilst may have diminished he has shouldered responsibility, and learnt how to cope as an elite target at the highest level.
Lessons which are taught and learnt hard, but Brett has handled himself with aplomb and is a wonderful talent.

Watch this kid brain em next year after learning and consolidating a great deal in 06.

Solid year for Brett which has impressed me with his maturity and class.

& been playing injured for parts of the season ....

Great game today by the young kid.'

For a young bloke who was essentially a bottom aged draftee to play every game he has been available for shows the class of this bloke.

I just cannot get over how much he is looking like Judd. Same running style and same kicking style where he lifts both arms in the air. Very good game today! By the way i hope Wiggins gets 4 weeks. He was sniping and trying to flatten Lids and Weeble all day. Scum.

Funny thing was Wiggins hurt his shoulder when he was trying to get Axle.

Your post highlights typical distortion from the error stat GO, Deledio made a blatant error by not shooting for goal, yet none was recorded because he hit Richo with the handpass.

As far as the error stat is concerned, a player could handball or kick their mates into trouble or shirk an opportunity to do better with the possession 15 times a game, yet it's completely omitted from the statistical record. Similarly, Deledio could deliver 9 out of 10 on the half volley at ankle level or badly enough so the player receiving just gets a hand on it, and as long as they touch it, no error is recorded.

So I ask again, how much value is there in quoting it as a useful stat for guaging player skill or worth?

Not much IMO.

Are you saying that Ray Hall's actual error rate is higher than the official stat, and if so, how much higher?  :cheeky

Super happy with the 19 year old finishing off the yeare so strongly.

Is carrying a injury most of the year but is finishing off the the ear in fantastic style on a half back flank. Personally IMO I think his last two weeks have been the best games hs has strung together so far.

This players is definetly a super star, every time he gets the ball, you feel the crowd rise with anticipation. Geez, can this kid run.

One part of his game that does need to be looked at is how soon after he takes possesion he bounces the ball.

Usually he takes it and bounces it within the first 3-5 paces! He should run close to his full measure before taking the first bounce (if needed), and in most cases he would dispose of the ball prior to running too far.

Matty White is at the other end of the spectrum, he does cut it fine often, but I would rather see Lids doing this as well.

True, but the early bounce gives him the option. There are benefits to taking an early bounce if you have the chance. Money in the bank (so to speak).

If you wait until you have to either take a bounce or dispose of the ball, you might not have the opportunity.

Also, if you bounce early when you can, you have further to run before you have to again.

Just on bouncing how hard would it be to bounce the ball at that pace? I haven't seen him stuff it up.
