Roach is gone will not be on the list next year he is just not up to AFL standard.
That would be at the end of this year.
No, you wrote that in August 2005, you said that he wouldnt be here next year. If you wrote that in 2005 that means you said he wouldnt be here in 2006.
Looks like i did, god time flies i was shore it was this year.

I've never seen Limbo play.Who is he similar too?

Tarrant, as a type. Aerialist- excellent leap. Very good hands. Too light ATM, even after gaining 8kg in the off season.

Ground game under developed.

Moody. Often appears not to be trying. Immature but took a big step in the offseason in this regard. As Miller said "The penny's dropped with Limbach".

Hopefully he can push for a senior game this year but would be expected to mature some more over the break.

On the right path. Project player.

Even though Limbo is a project player, how long do we continue with him running around Coburg 2's?

I just think it will be tough for Limbach to keep his spot on the list if he continues at this rte. He needs to show something over the next ten weeks, something major or I am not sure that he will hold his spot on the list.

Someone is going to be unlucky to get the flick this year and I just thin it may be Dean.

Do we persist with him becuase we have very little forward KPP coming through or because this year is a super draft do we go for another untried youngster?

In the ones last week, SCOOP. Hughes is in the magoux de magoux (that's French for Coburg ressies). Each kicked two.

So how long do we persevere with Hughes? (They're the same age, give or take four months.)

Yep, called me on that Dyer fair enough.

But it is about years on a list in some cases not age.
I think Cleve has been in the system less then a year, already has had a taste of the big time and has shown some positive signs. Limbo has a extra 12 months development from being in the system yet I would say that Cleve is slightly ahead due to the fact that he has had a crack at the big time.

Maybe I am out of whack on this one.

What do you think Dean has to do over the next 10 weeks to retain his spot or do you think he is safe regardless of the next 10 weeks.

I don't know enough about Limbach to say that he should or shouldn't be retained but can you tell me why you think he should be retained, you seem to be a fairly well balanced chap who speaks the gospel, would be interested to know your thoughts.

That's the question, SCOOP- "What does he have to do?"

Limbach's weaknesses are similar to Cleveland's but more pronounced. Neither thinks the game is on when the other side has the ball. Each is (understandably) too cautious at times. Each is (comparatively) physically ill equipped ATM.

Like most star junior talls they are bludgers in comparison to senior AFL players. They just don't do enough yakka.

Their strengths are entirely different except the hands. Very good hands. Limbach is athletic and capable of the spectacular. But just average with the ball. Hughes is an ordinary athlete and pedestrian in the air (if you get my drift ;D) but he has a very good footy brain and very sweet skills.

You can see how they'd make a good combination one day.

On the topic of years in the system I have a fixed point of view these days. Age is much more important than years in the system.

Brains don't mature faster because they've been exposed to an AFL club. If anything, the opposite is the case. Maturity takes time. Not many 19yo male humans are men.

Good report about Limbo in the Collins report.

Stated that he looked very dangerous up forward.

Good report on Sarge, White and McGuane also.

Tend to agree big Jack, a lot of is expected of 19 year olds. Just hope that Limbach is heading in the right direction at a appropriate rate of progression.

Your description of the two does sound like a promising glsquare combination.

One question I would ask is this, has this combination been tried out of the goal square at Coburg?

Seems like one keeps getting dropped for the other. Wouldn't it be wise to play both or has Sarges comeback caused that plan to go on the back burner.

Excellent post on two young players. Neither has developed their skills or attitude to AFL level as yet nor could you expect them to. Both, in slightly different ways, show sufficient promise to suggest they have a good chance of making the grade.

Last week at Frankston, Limbach simply got lost and didn't know how to present or adjust his game to the conditions or pattern of play. Schulz was dominating the centre corridor so Limbach lead to the pockets.

Both these kids are project players and to expect them to produce much before mid 2007 or 2008 is wrong.
Why ditch youngsters with potential for younger players of the same height and weight in the hope that the second or newer choices will develop any faster.
