Just a rant of sorts. Mainly I'm sick of this guy getting all the plaudits, and for so long being the apple of everyone's eye when Richo, for me, is far far superior.
Just watched the 95 semi final (not the best game to watch to judge Lloyd - only his 5th as a 17 yo) and Saturday's match too.
1) His kicking action is flawed - he's not the beautiful kick people make him out to be.
2) He's very, very soft. Someone teach Richo how to dive like this man. Send him to Serie A please.
3) He gets frees directly in front. Richo must collapse in tears when he sees how many soft free kicks this guy gets.
4) He's 30 and already consigned to the goal square. Can't do much up the ground anymore. Already on the way out. Richo meanwhile at the ripe old age of 33 is everywher.
Just sh!ts me that so many poeple shout from the rafters about good ol' Matthew Lloyd.
