Not sure if best put in Rumours board, as I am after an inside word.

Read in Inside Football that - he may have firmed in as one of the favourites for the Bummers top job.

Wondering what peoples veiws were on this and If they would be happy for him, or if they would hope he didn't get the job, hoping he would finally pick up a top job at another "less hated " club.

I personally would hate to see him in the red and Black - but I know he deserves his chance somewhere.

Thoughts?

Has been floated a number of times on SEN.

Bombers can have him.

He has'nt shown anything as a coach at SANFL or VFL level

The word is they're after an injection of youth at the club which also includes a youngish coach, hence why Matthew has been mentioned as a possibility. Funny that they moved so swiftly on Sheedy so they could secure Voss though. Suffer!!!

Maybe they reckon that another ex-Richmond footballer might take them toward another 20 year dynasty.

The ABC up here seem to have an "in" with Bendigo Bummers.

Have even heard Knights interviewed - and he comes over pretty well.

Wouldn't place any stock in his time at Port - bit of a culture shock from what I heard.

And he lifted Bendigo.

Seems he was down at Whingy Hill every week so something was going on.

I'd like to see him get a possie at Punt Road.

Heard it was a case of Knights wanting to try some young players at the risk of losing a few games toward the end of 2004, but was told they didn't do things that way at Port Adelaide.
