PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Just heard that big Mal Michael has told the Lions he is unsure if he wants to go with his football, he is burnt out.

Mentally exhausted. Big shock to me, would have thought that living in Brisbane the warmer weather and life style would help keep you fresher in the mind and the body. May just walk away from the game. Would be a massive set back to the lions after losing Leppa. There back line would be shot.

Got me thinking that playing 200 games will be the new 300 games of the next 25 years. 300 games used to be a massive amount of games but with the current game becoming quicker, can we expect shorter player life spans then in the past?
