Hey Guys,
Look, I dont go for the tigers however I am a huge fan of their club and history.
Ive looked at the last 5 years and from the beginning I new Terry Wallace wasnt the man for the job. He has no evidence and credentials to support the fact he was able to rebuild a team in 5 years or at all for a matter of fact.
They havent drafted well at all (except deledio, cotchin) and wallace coaching style will never win a flag.
His coaching style doesnt include tackling, pressure, chasing, and all the one percenters you need to inject in a team and in time win a flag. Same thing happened at the dogs.
I really want richmond to succeed on the field. I know im not the only one that is sick of them missing the finals and finishing 9th but I feel that they should do anything in their power to get MALCOLM BLIGHT as their coach for the next 5 years. Blight has only coached 8 seasons of footy BUT has taken 5 teams to grand finals. 3 with the cats 2 with the crows in only 8 years. He is a proven coach that can rebuild a team and make them successful quickly, and his coaching style will definately go a long way to getting the team to the top.
Im writing this here because Im looking for someone on this forum that has a lot to do with richmond footy club to talk to the management to consider getting blight as their new coach.
When st kilda sacked blight I thought it was the biggest mistake in AFL/VFL history, and I still think the same today.
If st kilda kept Blight they would have won a flag or two over the last 5-10 years. Grant thomas couldnt win a flag with a team of superstars when they won their first 10 games in a row one year. Its Blights knowledge of the game. He is a master. Leigh Matthews is similar but not as good as blight.
Blight is definately the man to take the tigers to the top.
I would like some other opinions on this subject please
For the record I am not a cats or crows fan either. I just think Blight is the key to getting the tigers back to finals footy. He is proven
