I think Andrew Raines might just have a say in all of this, whether Murphy is fit or not.
IMO Raines has been fantastic this year, and had a real blinder today. If this form continues, he would be a worthy winner on the Rising Star Award. Go Rainsey.

With Murphy out for a extended break, thing well be interesting.
If Rainsey can go up a level over the next four weeks he is in with a huge show.
If Carlton are smart they will give Murphy the extra weeks to be %100. Why risk such a valuable commodity in games that you are better off losing.

If rumors about Murphy suffering ligamental damage to the shoulder, resulting in what is termed slippage of the humerous bone (top of arm) from the rotator cuff in traumatic dislocation then Murphy will miss more than 3 weeks he will require surgery and a reconstruction which could be the season from here.
Good luck to the boy and the next day or two will fully reveal the extent of the young fellas injuries.
