Gee - those last few minutes when we just wound the clock down by kicking backwards. I really have mixed feelings about it even though I was able to sit back and enjoy the win before the siren.
As much as I enjoyed the fact that we were finally safe and that we were not going to lose - IMHO it just looks so bad and is surely not in the interests of the game.
The way it was going, Richo had about 20 marks already and was still racking them up. But it doesn't seem right. He could even have "received" a few more "marks" in the last minute or so and ended up with 22 - or 25 - or more. But then the marking stats become even less meaningful than what they are already.
I'd love to see that rule rule is brought in to say that if kicked backwards, it is not a "mark" and just "play on". It might have made us sweat a by it more today - but surely it would better for the game.
