Disagree. They need to accept the responsibility for making this a web based $ spinning exercise that can only be won by the bloke with the most admirers. Lloyd's goal (or party trick) winning is an embarrassment - surely even for Lloyd himself.RROFO said:

I'm certainly not making any accusations here, but if somebody in a position to know happened to let it slip that Lloyd's goal had a good chance of being adjudged GOTY, the recipient of the information would be in a favourable position to win the competition. :theyareontome

The whole thing is a joke, Bartlett loves this sort of thing. Stir up a bit of controversy, people ring up his show or sms or email and more people listen and then he digs in and infuriates everyone and then more people listen to his show. Same with the hands in the back thing. He is conflicted.
I reckon there would have been one goal per week, at least, that was better than Lloyd's.

Plenty of jokes in the AFL this year but this has to be the best for the year. There were so many great goals this year and they chose Lloyd's? How many AA selectors are there, surely one out of the lot of them would have piped up about this ridiculous decision.
