Mark Coughlan

Cogs can't be brought in for us to find out how his body is.
He's a 100% man and even if his body is suspect he will put himself at risk by pushing the envelope.

A week off for the bye won't hurt IMO.

All the calls for Cogs to come back are a bit far fetched arent they.

I saw him 2 weeks ago against Port and he couldnt run out more than 5 minutes before coming off, lacked pace, looked slow, lacked touch and i reckon a fair bit of confidence.

Who knows whats going on down there but i wouldnt bother playing Mark this year at all for whats left especially if they are going to keep him.

Id get games into the likes of Connors, Collins, Edwards, Casserly and Meyer instead.

Coughlan can wait till next year imo with only what 7 odd games left whats the point.

Let's be honest, if he ever makes it back to playing even reasonable football it will be a surprise. Most players with those types of repetitive injuries never do. I hope he does but we need to plan for life without him.
