Thanks for the stats Miner and welcome to PRE. It's no secret Cogs is one of my most admired Tigers ever. Nobody in the history for the club has done more to get them self right to overcome a massive run of injury, and not even for selfish reasons. He wants to get back out there and repay the club for the faith they had in him.

It really saddens me that anyone would want to go out of their way to criticise a player who never, ever takes a backward step. Cogs will be all the better, and we'll be a better team, after he has a full pre-season now his body is finally right.

It sickens me that people go out of their way to bag Cogs. >:(
Well said Rosy. :clap

Regardless of contractual arrangements, I will not be happy if the likes of Mcmahon, King or Schulz stay on the list and Cogs is shown the door. He deserves another pre-season at least to get back close to his best.

yep

This guy is the heart and the sole of the current list. He has significant upside next year with another pre -season under his belt.

There are plenty of duds on the list and many others without half the commitment or desire that Cogs has. Deserves atleast another year on the list. Would be a travesty of justice to see his career end at the end of 2009.

Pick Edwards again this week. Doing some nice work that goes largely unnoticed on here.

Agree ToO. Just showed his handball under pressure to Cuz that set up the King goal on Saturday.

Anyone who can set up a goal for Kingy is a genius.

Well Cuz actually passed it to King so yes I guess you're right.

So you think that Edwards who has been in the system for two and a half years shouldn't be playing seniors? Should he have a line through his name?

Not too long ago some were saying the same thing about Bling who's been there twice as long.
It's called development.

I see similar traits in Edwards to Tambling. Needs time to make mistakes.
That's how he'll improve.

rosmerta ive gone back thru the last 3 or 4 pages and i havent seen anyone bag coughlan.

two facts hes lost pace and his kicking is ordinary it always has been. to me jackson coughlan and tuck cant all play theres just no hurt factor.if cogs comes in which one goes.

its only my opinion but coughlan is lucky. he will be retained because we have plenty of others who will go before him. even then its touch and go.
one thing for sure if he stays next yr is make or break for him.

No I actually like Edwards. Think he has potential. Just worried about his size. It's a big tough game that AFL footy and I've seen him take heavy hits a couple of times and come up worse for wear. A guy like Edwards, if he starts being damaging can often be targetted for heavy punishment that frames like his cant handle too well. Tend to be able to wear it better as a forward where the action is a little less often.
