Just wondering if anyone can say how Cogs is coming along with the rehab from his second knee reco?
The information around the traps and coming out of the club has been little.

As he's coming out of contract hopefully he's coming along well. Anyone know how Mark's going?

There was an article recently that said he'd be back to running and training about August. You might be able to find something on the journo's board.

The only positive to come from Cogs injury is the fact that in all likelihood the lay off will have freshened up the rest of Marks body, especially in regard to his battles with OP, and once his knee is right the OP wont be an issue and allow Mark to go at it unhindered by his groin troubles.

Every part of his rehab has been taken a bit slower then normal an everthing is coming along well last I heard

Good to hear SeeSea. 8)

I really hope Mark can make it back to playing good footy again.

I wonder how the club will approach his contract for '08 and beyond?

Wants to play in rounds 21 and 22 doesn't he?

If playing finals i would say maybe, but wooden spoon year no rush.

Hope he gets back to best, was my favourite player before injury.

given Cogs last 2 years, when I saw the title of this thread I thought it should already be up to page 200 and challenging the Christianity thread :hihi

The article said he was aiming to be ready for the start of our preseason. I doubt we'll see him play a game this year anywhere.

A big loss, a very big loss. Let him get better, because if injuries didnt get in his way, Judd would have a serious opponent. I rate him so highly, because of his vision. Something you cant really teach, his classy and adds an extra bit of grunt on the ball.

Come back COGGY!!!!

Always showed heart, guts and determination, more than made up for lack of pace with in and under ball gathering, downside though was kicking skills leave a bit to be desired.

This is my main concern with Coughlan - his kicking. IMO his kicking is woeful and needs major attention. At times he was a liability in the team with his lack of kicking ability.

He needs to study Foey and follow how he improved this area.

IMO Coughlan needs to quicken up his action. When he gets the ball he usually slows down to a gallop and usually caresses the ball with a loopy type of kick. He needs to look at Foley and really run hard and kick through the ball with a more assertive action.

If he can improve this area of his game then he can be a great player.

Coughlan's kicking was fine in his B&F year, 2003. DIdn't get much distance and probably a little bit up-and-under but way better than after his return in 2005. The question is: "Has the injury affected his kicking permanently, or was he still restricted during 2005 and it showed up most in his kicking?"

Foley looked slow in his early games during the second half of 2005 due to his ankle inury from 2004 and early 2005. He doesn't look slow now.

Showers are very slippery places, I just hope Cogs has learnt from this mishap and uses the bedroom places an anti-slip mat in the shower.

I, too, use an anti-slip mat since having a cropper in the shower.

Pleased to say that my efforts at kicking snails over the back fence are now back to my 2004 days!
