Marks for year tally and Richo

The stats for overall marks are
Pavlich 195
Richo 191
Jonathan Brown 184
Riewaldt 184
Lockeyer 179

Given that Freo and Brisbane wont make the finals and if Richo has another great game he may take the lead, and the only others that could possibly overtake him re finals are Riewaldt (if Saints make finals) and Lockeyer.

So lets try and get as many marks as we can for Richo on Sat arvo.

Richo's taken 1983 career marks. Not out of the question for him to reach 2000 if the weather's fine and he has a day out.

Richo's ranking in average marks per game:

1993 - 11th
1994 - 18th
1995 - 10th
1996 - 2nd
1997 - 2nd
1998 - 4th
1999 - 1st
2000 - 1st
2001 - 2nd
2002 - 5th
2003 - 1st
2004 - 7th
2005 - 8th
2006 - 7th
2007 - 4th

Richo is superstar, it'll be a sad day when he retires.

Sad wont even come close to describing it. I cry now just thinking about it.

True, winning the Norm Smith medal in his last game will make us all feel better

And in years like 95 when he came 10th, he missed more than half the year with his knee!

Yes FBFF but that would have been taken into account by the fact they numbers were averages - not total marks!

Hopefully he can go on for another three seasons, injury permitting. That should get him to 300 games and perhaps to another finals series if we can recruit and develop players quickly.

I hope so as he truly deserves it. I've been watching Richmond games since 1980 and he's one of the best alongside the greats of that premiership year.

As said previously, he's made the dark years a little more tolerable with his absolute effort week in and week out. Players like Jay Schulz would do well to look at his work effort on the ground. If you want to be an AFL star, that's how hard you have to work.
