Marlion Pickett!

No doubt they’ll be a story to this , however if any part of it’s true , we need to move Marlion on asap, this has the potential to cause massive problems , going to be a lot of people in the club losing trust , then there’s going to be supporters of Marlion ….just a real *smile* situation no matter what.

in saying that , let’s just wait and see what really happened and why
Interesting he wasn’t at the club over a lengthy period of pre season . .

Family loyalty? Brothers/uncles/cousins have history as well don’t they? Maybe they pressured him into helping? Maybe he refused but still got caught up in stuff? Maybe he didn’t participate but knew enough about what was happening to be considered an accessory? Who knows?

Just keeping fingers crossed. The fact he’s been charged and not just arrested is damning.
Yeah If I had to take a stab at what’s happened, I’d say he has reconnected with old friends/family during the Xmas break and got caught up in what they were doing , 100 percent guess work of course , let’s hope his level of involvement was minor

Going back a bit, but brings back memories of Andrew Krakouer

Yep lets blame the cops.... If it was a white geelong player everyone here would be calling for him to be hanged.
If he was a Geelong player he probably deserves it.

Got no idea of Foosh's innocence or guilt, but unfortunately he's got history. The same as plenty of coppers have been proven to have history over the years.

Aggravated burglary is a very serious crime to be charged with and the police would not be doing so without concrete evidence. Based on the charges he would be looking at a short term of imprisonment.

*smile* Hell

I reckon Casuarina are probably a game out of the 4

not blaming anyone .. just stating a fact .. Midlands police have had an interesting reputation for a long time, and the person i know who had a run in with them was indeed white .. but didn't play for Geelong ...

We didn't move Pell on so as not to prejudice the case so we damn better stand with Marlion.

geez there's a lot of judges, juries and jailers and I'm not sure I like it

I reckon the high standards start dropping once you start making allowances for players and coaches. Certain players starting pre-season later, coaches having longer breaks etc. All in to do the hard yards at the same time unless exceptional circumstances apply

keeping standards high requires a lot of effort.

Which is why they slip.

Yeah, I'd say this is spot on.

Is it possible the club was aware of trouble ahead and that’s why Marlion was being played in forward line while Jack Ross was taking over the role on the wing or were they completely blindsided by the news

That's what I'm hoping happened.

One of the charges is receiving stolen goods. Be good if he inadvertently received them, or better still, had no involvement at all.

Nothing more than a guess, but this type of scenario sounds like a strong possibility. Thing is though, Foosh has been doing mentoring n guidance work with youngsters at our Korin Gamadji institute the last few years. This is exactly the type of stuff he should be pushing back against not getting himself back into.

Wasn’t it family loyalty that got Andy Krakouer into strife when he belted that other guy up over in W.A and spent some time in the big house as a result?

Nice of WA cops to let Marlion play on Saturday night

Must be WC supporters?

Can only hope for his wife and kids that this is a misunderstanding over misadventure.
Been such a great role model for many young indigenous kids and pray that his reputation can be preserved.

I too worry about some of the posts I’ve seen here from so called Richmond supporters. Truely worrying how quickly some have jumped in and condemned him without knowing any facts.

So very sad - hope he has been caught up in something out of his control and something can be worked out. He has done so well turning his livea around.
