Shocking News!!!! One of my favourite players, and now this happends. After breaking his leg in August, he has a stress fracture in his left foot. Out for 6-7 weeks. Hope he comes back fitter than ever.

At least its not a dreaded 'Hot Spot'

But seriously, i do like matt so i do hope he get well soon

Actually he would probably take that as a hot spot is one step away from a full on stress fracture which can mean 6 to 8 weeks on the side lines.

Chris Grant is out for quite some time too, about 10 weeks after surgery on a pubic bone spur.

A shame for Goose Maguire, like him as a player and person, even if he does play for the Saints.

just a side issue about the Aints, it seems to me that their tackles cause more serious knee and leg injuries than any other team. That one with Mclean of Melbourne, Thompson from the Kangapoos last month and Thursfield's last year all have have sent shivers down my spine. A guy unable to brace himself against a hard tackle due to his motion (ie kicking the ball) gets heavily slammed and drilled into the ground. Any thoughts?
