I'm not so sure about him not being amongst the worst.... Unless I'm mistaken, his publicised conversion is based on Goals vs Behinds and does not take into account Out of Bounds on the Full. Conversion could also be considered on inside 50 and outside 50. What Matthew misses inside 50 is dissappointing - even to himself. Also, what he misses inside 20 may well be the worst in AFL.
Still the big lug gives you plenty of hope each week and like craigy (scary to say this) you just chuckle nowadays when he misses the easy ones, knowing full well he'll turn the unkickable into a goal as well.
It wasn't just missing the goals, although that was bad enough, it's the effect it has on a lot of the rest of the team, especially the younger ones. Richo does that and then wonders why Brown and Foley both went for the goals themselves rather than kicking it to him. Faults and all, though I still wouldn't get rid of him, there's no one else there who even looks like being able to do the job up forward for at least a couple of years.

It's pretty unreal actually how Richo stomps his feet and cries like a baby when things don't go his way, and then stuffs up those two shots last night...

I seem to recall Brisbane winning a couple of flags with Alastair Lynch camped in the goal square. Who says Richo can't play in a similar role, demanding the oppositions best defender. Could space then be opened up for the likes of Hughes/Shultz/Riewoldt/?? to cruise around the 50? I really don't know how best to use Richo. I love the guy but he made me cry with those two misses when the game was still up for grabs.
