Yeah I'll back the club in here. Excellent athlete. Explosive bursts. Quick. We can make the most of him.

Intriguing to hear on the AFL coverage that the Bombres had interviewed him.

They passed on their second pick, possibly because he was off the board.

I know we wouldn't be so petty, but interesting that the Bombres took "our" Sam Durham the pick before us in the first round.

A little bit of payback in the Parker pick?

Gives our fwd line an extra dimension and marking option without losing ground speed and pressure.

I actually like this pick, believe he is good mates with Marlion? saw them arrive together at a VFL game a couple of seasons ago at Sandi.

X-factor, speed and nice height, if he has matured could be a great get.

Will certainly fit into the Brotherhood at Tigerland.

**Edited to include Parker and Pickett are ex team-mates:

Doubt is had any influence on who we took.

Yeah a bit like Baker and even Short when we grabbed them. I'm happy to wait and see before thinking I know our recruiting strategy.
I always liked the Baker and Short picks. Anyway time will tell.

Ordinary selection for mine. Was average player at St Kilda & would have preferred Callow as long term possible replacement for Riewoldt or even Nathan Freeman (although he needs a full season to prove he’s over his hamstring issue).
Can be picked up on a 6 month contract in the mid season, could be they want to fill a hole

I must admit, I didn't realise he got delisted.
Saw him a couple times he's got some wheels and thought he was ok.
Interested to know what he's been up to since his Saints days.

He's already in WA. Does he come in for dreamtime at the O?

Yeah Dash many questioned it. I would have liked Freeman however I've got no idea on our approach to recruiting plus the 80% of other things they taken into account outside of what we see on a footy field each week.

He’s 190cm I think
Yep. Not a small forward in the traditional sense.

He’s played a lot on the wing at SF and I suspect that’s what we’ll do with him unlike those duds at the Aints who used him as a third marking forward.

Played 17 games in his first year and then had a nasty ankle and only played 2 in 2020. Understand he struggled a bit with hub life too.

If in fact we do intend playing him on a wing it would signal the end for Naish.

Is it Mav Weller or Marlion Pickett? Only time will tell.

Seems weird. Wonder if they had an inside track?

Same thing happened in the national draft. Bombres bids on Rioli, Tiges match the bid and then force Bombres to match for their NGA Eyre. Seems to be some tit for tat between the clubs draft wise, no doubt we aren't petchulant enough to draft someone we don't want however
