Maurice Rioli Jnr

If he is going to make it I reckon it’s high half fwd/midfield. He can get through traffic like few others. Needs to improve his kicking. Great game though

Assist player. Break things open from half forward like Titch used to do.

A lot of mention of this mistakes. He takes the dangerous option. Sometimes silly, yes, and kicking can be floaty, but every single pass he stuffed had a target in a dangerous position.

Keep going junior. Keep trying to hit those 45 degree passes.

Kids a midfielder, rotating forward.
If he ever realises how much talent he has, and decides to harness it...
We have something thank christ...

Actually thought our boys kicked it to him well too. No one put it on his head - ball was delivered in front of him. They gave him a chance to use his speed, get in front and take a chest mark or win the ground ball.

Hopefully gains confidence from this, once he feels he belongs maybe the little mistakes will reduce

Juniors best game for the Mighty Tiges, showed today that he needs to be played further up the ground.

Confidence rose the more the game went on.

Started taking on players with pace.

Keep going son.

Keeps playing like this and we need to find a new Official Whipping Boy of 2024

Played well and on that display deserves his spot. Kept us in the game and kept Sydney in the game. Yze needs to encourage him to keep taking the risk.

Infuriating one minute, exhilarating the next.

He sure did make some costly mistakes, but the good far outweighed the bad.

Best thing for me was he won some crucial contests at half back, which shows he is covering the ground better.

All the Maurice haters can GAGF!

He was massive today. Massive. Made Sydney *smile* themselves, the only one left running on the 4th, got to and won so many contests when stars were walking.

Massive.

Massive.

Don’t know about ALL of them - but there’s one in particular who most certainly does deserve to ….

Settle. Just because people critique his game, it doesn’t make them haters.
Just about every player will attract plaudits and criticism. MJ is no exception.
He did some very good things. Effort and chase and pressure caused turnovers. Great efforts and team lifting.
Missed 30m kicks dead in front of goal are team deflating. He has got to nail them. They’re bread and butter kicks.
But as others have said his good far outweighed his not so good.

Good to see him take the game and opposition on offensively instead of just being defensive. Needs to be more aware of his kicking limitations though and stick with low risk kicks (for now).

See above.

Identify as a hater if you wish to. Don't, if you don't.
