MCC and RFC members

Today I got a letter in the mail from the MCC of which I am a member. The letter basically stated that the Richmond Football Club approached the MCC to see if they could make contact with members who have indicated they support the Tigers. There is a form to fill out if you would like the RFC to contact you with membership packages for MCC members etc.

I for one think that this is a very good initiative by the RFC and think that many MCC members who support the Tigers will get involved in this.

Has anyone else received one of these letters? If so, will you respond?

(Rosy, feel free to move this post to the Off Field Discussion if its not suitable)

Yep, got the letter too and I will be responding. Cannot see what else they can do for me though, as I am a Full RFC Member as well, and have a reserved seat at the Dome!

Steve Wright, who appears to be an extremely competent CEO, is a MCC Member and a fanatical Richmond supporter. My thinks his hand is behind this new initiative or at least he is supporting it.

Yep got the letter as well but I also already have MCC and RFC memberships! A very good initiative though and anything that will increase membership is a good thing and shows a more professional way of thinking down at Punt Rd Central! Many will say about time!

I'm both an MCC member & an MCC Tiger, but I didn't get a letter.  :'(

I got the letter aswell. I think even if u rn't interested in the offer i still feel people should respond to the letter to show support for the intiative. All the letter is allowing is for ur details to be given to the RFC so they can send u out information.

Ditto

Ditto to the Ditto ;D

All these diitoes (or is that ditti) has forced a rethink of MCC memebers.

Quite a few here have put their hands up as MCC members that I would be happy to call sane normal football supporters. All my preconceptions (4 wheel drives and snow weekends) out the window.

:hihi

I've been a Full AFL Member (Richmond Club Support) for the last 8 years and each year the RFC mail me out membership brochures/packages etc and till this day I still dont understand why they do that since they already get their cut from the membership thru the AFL. The way I see it money wasted when it could be sent out to someone that will renew an actual RFC Membership.

Quite a few AFL Members purchase Reserved Seats in the Richmond sections so they can sit with friends and other Richmond supporters, as well they also join other groups such as Ton-Up etc., so it isn't "money wasted" as these people would not be happy if they weren't given the information each year.

When I was a full AFL member, I still purchased a club membership each year, and I know of many other AFL members who still do.

Yep, I got a letter from the Tigers/MCC. I am already an RFC member but I responded so the records are up to date.

This year I have taken the MCC option on my RFC package and I thought they would have to cross check these with the MCC.
