PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

The most dissapointing aspect to Thursday nights game (the flogging we got being the exception) for me was the thousands of vacant seats in the MCC members area. I understand that these people pay big dollars to be members but when you get a game as big as this one was surely there is something that can be done to fill the seats of those not intending to attend. We know of several posters on PRE who couldnt attend once the game was declared a sellout, and I bet there were more who would have gone along if they could have got access to the ground.
I know the AFL and MCC arent on the best of terms at the moment, but surely they can put their heads together and come up with a solution. When a game looms as a sellout why cant MCC members be contacted by e-mail a week beforehand and those not wanting to go can then have their reserved seat sold to the general public? This would then benefit the AFL, the MCC and the home club by generating more revenue for all 3 parties. The Anzac Day game between Collingwood and Essendon is another example of this situation.
