Just found out that Daniel McConnell of West Coast has been traded to the Kangaroos. From memory we picked up Alex Gilmour just ahead of Daniel in the draft. At the time, there was an article how both Alex and Daniel are both passionate Tigers supporters and wanted to join the club. We selected Gilmour and ever since I've kept an eye on McConnell given his strong desire to become a Tiger player and his disappointed when he missed out.
Also, Ben Haynes was cut from the team a number of years ago and except for a few games with Essendon has not done much. Reckon it would be a big mistake to offer a draft pick on someone we gave up for nothing. We need quality players and Ben unfortunately is not in the class we need to become a premiership contender.
